Head of Risk Management Department (Tallinn, Riia või Vilnius)

Business Development Division (BDD) is created to fulfil the mission and implement the strategy of Baltic Banking. With the establishment of  BDD we aim to concentrate the best product, channel, process and customer offering knowledge within our organization into one central team. In Wealth Management Division we are handling processes, products and tools which are aimed both at our customers wealth preservation and growth. Being responsible for coverage of the whole "financial" life cycle we manage mutually sustainable, beneficial and long term relations with our customers.

Portfolio Management Area of Swedbank Baltic Banking is a Swedbank Group unit responsible for daily management of Private Banking clients’ investment portfolios across the Baltic States. The unit currently employs 21 high level investment professionals who are engaged in different phases of investment activity. Portfolio Management Area is looking for the new

HEAD OF RISK MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

who together with a small team of specialists is responsible for monitoring, reporting and managing risks related to daily investment activity in Portfolio Management Area. In addition Risk Management department is responsible for supporting the investment activity through a number of technical tools.   

Major responsibilities of Risk Management Department are:

• setting, maintaining and updating the Risk Management principles for the Portfolio Management Area,
• managing and improving related regulative documentation,
• continuous monitoring, measuring and regular reporting of risks,
• measuring, analyzing and internal reporting of investment return,
• active participation in the development of the portfolio management service.

Successful candidate is described by:

• independence to fulfil strategic targets and set tactical plans,
• deep interest in the investment area,
• previous experience within risk management in asset management business,  
• excellent analytical skills and capability to work with large datasets,
• experience with creation and handling of regulative documentation,
• at least master degree in Mathematics or Economics,
• previous experience as a team leader,
• good communication skills,  including  the ability to explain complex systems,
• very good English – spoken and written.
